A recent study by Juniper Research revealed that the industry of mobile gambling will reach 12 thousand million dollars by 2010. The research also estimates that the greatest increase will be experienced by lotto mobile gambling, a growing tendency worldwide.
Over 380 million people will play lotto on their mobiles in 2010. The prediction is based on the recent increase on demand for lotto gambling in the Far East, as well as the fact that many national lotto games in European countries are seeking to introduce mobile gambling in the near future.
The growth in mobile gambling overall will be possible because of the more sophisticated electronic methods for payment and deposit. New technologies and softening of gambling laws and restrictions in the biggest markets –such as UK- will also help.
The US is expected to exceed the UK in gambling in 2012. It will then be the greatest market on mobile gambling. The worldwide income for mobile gaming is estimated to reach 3.2 thousand million dollars in that same year.
